Honda Seekonk Supports Local Kiwanis 5K

We at Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk, are thrilled to once again support the annual Seekonk Kiwanis 5K Race and Walkathon, which is taking place this coming Sunday, September 27th, 2015.  The race will have lots of family-friendly activities, a true community event that will benefit local programs for children. Registration is still open, and will be on the day of the race, too!

“We’re there for children, worldwide, but doing things at the local level,” says Bev Hart, past president and now board member of Seekonk Kiwanis, “Our motto is, ‘Change the world one child and one community at a time.’”  Kiwanis supports two clubs at local schools: The Key Club at Seekonk High School, and the Builders’ Club at Dr. Kevin M. Hurley Middle school, as well as several programs for students of all ages, including the Champion after school program, preschool programs, and scholarships. Mrs. Hart adds, “We send surveys to local parents to determine their needs, so we can support programs that will truly benefit local parents and children.”

The Key Club at Seekonk High has over 100 members, many of whom were instrumental in pulling together the upcoming 5K race and walkathon.  Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk wishes The Seekonk Kiwanis a successful second year for this great event!
