Play for PCD: Honda Seekonk Proudly Sponsors Golf Tournament for Local School

Once again, Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk is proud to be a Hole-in-One Sponsor for the Providence Country Day School’s 25th annual “Play for PCD” golf tournament that took place on Monday, May 22. The event was held at Rhode Island Country Club’s beautiful 18-hole course, which combines parkland, wooded and seaside holes, with the final four located on beautiful Narragansett Bay. It was a wet and rainy day on the links, but ultimately another successful fundraising event for our friends and neighbors located around the corner from our dealership here in Seekonk.

Providence Country Day School, established in 1923, is a college-preparatory school serving students in grades 6–12. The diverse student population is drawn from more than 45 communities throughout southeastern New England.

As the Hole-in-One Sponsor,  Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk displayed a brand new Honda HR-V at the 10th hole, just waiting for that lucky swing off the tee. Unfortunately, there were no winners this year – but not for lack of trying! Alumni and friends of PCD were grouped in foursomes for a shamble format friendly competition. After the tournament, they enjoyed a live and silent auction, as well as a game board that upped the ante offering great odds and great prizes.

Our annual participation in the Play for PCD tournament is part of our overall commitment to supporting and giving back within our community. We are so happy that our sponsorship of this event is contributing to the students around us experiencing a strong and vibrant environment for learning and growth.
