Honda Mama Hits the Road

By 0 Permalink 0

Over April vacation, Honda Mama’s family took a road trip to Philadelphia, PA. We chose Philly because we’d never been there and we were looking for a place that wasn’t too far from where we were spending Easter (New Jersey–I know, you can barely contain your jealousy at my glamorous life.)

This was our first big road trip in the Crosstour (we had a minivan before), and I’m happy to say that we were able to fit everything we needed, even a dozen Allie’s donuts:

Note the hockey stick. We never travel without one, even for April vacation.

We toured Independence Hall and saw the Liberty Bell, which apparently cracked because it was very hard to make bells at that time, so the workmanship didn’t hold up under the pressure of repeated ringing. As my son said, “If Honda made the Liberty Bell, it would probably be fine.”

Most importantly, we got to have an authentic Philly cheesesteak (not for breakfast, but it was nice to know that was an option.)

Then we packed the trunk to go home…why is there always more on the way home?

Yes, that is a Christmas bag you're seeing. It was my father's gift, which he forgot to take at Christmas. We brought it to him for Easter and forgot to give it to him.

A highlight of our homeward bound trip was a visit to Sonic…I would like to take this opportunity to personally beg Sonic to put a location in RI or southern MA.

Doesn't the Crosstour look fabulous at Sonic?
