The 2017 Honda Accord LX may technically be the “base model” for this line, but there’s nothing basic about it. One thing I, Honda Laura, have always loved about Hondas is that every car comes equipped with trim and styling that make it feel luxurious. Just take a look, Honda fans, as I review the ‘17 Accord LX! Does all the chrome, body-colored mirrors, standard tech like back-up cameras and integrated Bluetooth, with an 8” multi-information display sound like bottom of the line? Nope. But all that comes standard for only $24,000. The Accord LX is a steal!
Chrome filled grill and accents, door pulls, and accents along the windows, back trunk and exhaust
Projector beam halogen headlights
Daytime running lights
LED brake-light bars
17” Alloy wheels, with glossy black inserts
Body colored mirrors
Large instrument display and gauge cluster
8” Multi-information display
3-different view back-up camera
Dual climate controls
Spacious backseat with plenty of legroom
15.8 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk
Under the Hood:
2.4L 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine with Earth Dreams technology that produces 185 HP
CVT automatic transmission
27 city/30 highway/36 combined MPG
Are you still scratching your head and wondering – is this really the base model? How can all of that be included for around $24k? Well, it is. This is why we are all Honda fans. The 2017 Accord LX is a sedan packed full of features. It offers high end styling with all the chrome accents, alloy wheels, and LED lighting. Then there’s the integrated technology packages; all topped off with a ride that’s comfortable and quiet (minimal road noise), with smooth acceleration and a sturdy feel. The Accord LX is the perfect combination of great performance with an awesome value.
As I said before, there’s nothing base about the LX trim line for the 2017 Accord except the price. There’s plenty of bang for the buck with this sedan. Curious to see one in person? You won’t be disappointed. Call up my friends at Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk to check it out yourself. Then let me know if you’d still call this a “base” model as well in the comments.
