Hi Honda Fans! Honda Laura here reviewing the long-awaited Honda Passport! After almost 20 years, the Honda Passport finally makes its reappearance in the Honda lineup and I’m so excited to share it with you.
The 2019 Honda Passport comes in four trim levels. Honda has the blacked-out concept on the entire lineup. The 20-inch alloy wheels are also blacked out to go with the whole concept. The Passport comes with Honda’s smart entry system so as long as you have your key with you, you can lock/unlock and even start your engine remotely. I know I’m a huge fan of that!
Under the hood of the 2019 Honda Passport is the 3.5-liter VTEC v6 engine which produces a really impressive 280 horsepower. It has a 9-speed automatic transmission and it features the IVTM for all wheel drive system standard yielding 19 miles in the city, 24 miles on the highway – a combined 21 miles per gallon.
The Passport really showcases Honda’s blacked out concept. It makes everything really sleek, sporty and modern!
Now let’s take a look at the interior features. Being the sport model, this is the lowest of the four trim levels so it does have the minimal things like the five-inch audio screen. It does still have your FM/AM and Bluetooth streaming audio. It has the cloth seats which are super comfortable. The Passport also has the minimal steering wheel, but you do have all of your pertinent buttons that you need and paddle shifters.
Even at the base level, it does have a lot of luxury features like a push button start. It has the really colorful multi-information screen up front so you have all your information that you need. It has the 9-speed automatic transmission as well as Honda sensing standard. The suite of safety features includes adaptive cruise control which is really great if you have long-distance driving on a day-to-day basis. It has a collision mitigated braking system which is my favorite! Honda Sensing is great – it’s usually an additional add-on now but is now standard on the Passport.
The space in the Passport is endless! It’s so roomy and has a lot of space in the center console.
The Honda Passport is a five-passenger vehicle. There is a lot of room in here – it’s similar to a Pilot but without the third row, so you have a lot of cargo space as well as passenger space!
The cargo space is behind the second row – it’s super spacious and really utilitarian. The floor even comes up for a little bit of extra storage!
The Honda Passport is quickly becoming one of my favorite Hondas to drive. The v6 engine has so much horsepower. It’s smooth and powerful I am really enjoying the drive.
That concludes my review of the 2019 Honda Passport in the Sport trim level. It has a MSRP of $33,890 which gives you awesome driving performances and really great luxury features – overall a very pleasant driving experience!
