2020 Honda Civic Hatchback Touring Review & Test Drive With Honda Laura

Hey Honda Fans! It’s Honda Laura back with a review on the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback in the Sport Touring trim level.

I’ll be showing you the 5-door hatchback in the Honda Civic in my favorite white and we went with a top touring trim level. 2020 brought a little revamp for the Civic Hatchbacks. You can see the really cool blacked out concept of this Civic. The blacked-out grille spans the whole width and then there are LED daytime running lights, LED headlights, and fog lights. Along the side you see this awesome blacked-out aero body kit that goes around the whole length of the car which makes it really look like a Type R. The rims are 18-inch alloy – black with a little bit of gunmetal which is a super cool design!

This Civic has Lane Watch which is my favorite – it’s the camera mounted on the mirror and it gives you a clear view of your blind spot all the way down the side of the car which is super helpful!

The door poles have the Smart Entry System so all you have to do is have your key fob with you and your Honda will auto lock/unlock with the sensor and remote engine start too – who doesn’t love that?!

Under the hood of the 2020 Civic hatchback sport touring is a 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which produces 180 horsepower. It’s paired with a CVT transmission and all together yields 29 city and 35 highway miles for a combined 32 miles per gallon.

Being a Honda Civic Hatchback owner myself, I am a huge fan of the 10th generation Civic, especially the inside. The Sport Touring has a leather interior, so all of the seats are extremely comfortable!

I love the whole design and layout of the vehicle – it’s very symmetrical and uniform and I love the center console. It features soft touch materials and it really looks high-end. The H cluster up front is one of my favorite designs. It is a colorful multi-informational LED screen. You have the buttons on the steering wheel and you can scroll through several different helpful screens while you’re driving! It’s very useful and user-friendly.

This steering wheel is another of my favorite designs. The Sport Touring has the leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob so extremely comfortable. There are several buttons and there are paddle shifters in the back if you’re feeling a little sporty. Obviously, we’ve got Bluetooth and Apple Carplay and your display audio right up front!

On the 2020, you have the physical button, so you have the volume knob with the power, and you have all your buttons right up front. You have the Garmin navigation system, Apple Carplay, your backup camera, and your dual climate controls with physical buttons which is super important! You have an electronic parking brake and a brake hold!

It also features an econ button to further boost your great fuel economy and a never-ending, large center console. If you’re going to get the Civic Hatchback and are planning to seat people in the back, definitely get the Sport Touring Trim level! The back has leather seats and they’re super comfortable. The back-seat features cup holders, heated seats, and speakers in the door!

The Civic Hatchback 46.2 cubic feet of cargo space so you can put all of your things back there, especially if you’re going shopping 😉 The thing that I love about it is that it has privacy screens – I use mine all the time! Another great thing is that it has a full spare and all the stuff you need because I had to use mine the other day that’s how I know

I really enjoy the whole layout of the 10th generation Civic. I like that the dashboard and the center console come up really high and it’s a really comfortable seating position. Everything is really well within reach and there’s just a nice aesthetic overall.

Even though it is Hatchback, there are a lot of different features that help with the visibility. In addition to the large rear view and side mirrors, lane watch and backup cameras, the Civic has Honda Sensing which makes everything a little bit safer. You have the collision mitigated braking system which will help you in the event of a collision to either prevent it or lessen the severity. You have the adaptive cruise control which is great if you do a lot of highway driving.

The Sport touring does have the sport feel to it – it has the red backlighting and that really awesome dual center exhaust, so it sounds just like the Si. Another one of my favorite features is the aluminum pedals. I love that little extra touch!

And that wraps up my review on the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback in the Sport Touring trim level. It has an MSRP of $28,850. I think it’s such a great car maybe I’m a little biased because it’s my daily driver but I think it’s a great car it’s super utilitarian with that fifth door hatchback, fuel efficient, has all the gadgets you need what else could you ask for?!
