2017 Honda Accord EX-L V6: It’s All About What’s Under the Hood

By 0 Permalink 0

2017 is the last year for the 9th Generation Honda Accord. It’s Honda Laura, and in this review, we’re checking out the 2017 EX-L with the super powerful V6 engine. I’ll show you all the features that continue to make Honda and the Accord leaders in the field, as we test-drive this Lunar Silver model, courtesy of our friends at Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk.

The 2017 Honda Accord EX-L V6 combines great styling and easy-to-use tech features, but what really sets this car apart is what’s under the hood. The Earth Dreams, 3.5L i-VTEC V6 engine cranks out 278 HP, almost 100 HP more than the 4-cylinder model, giving this sedan a lot of pick-up and go. Acceleration? It’s got it. Merging on the highway? No problem.

So what else is packed into this gem? Let’s take a look.

Exterior Features:

Chrome filled grill and accents, door pulls, and accents along the windows and back trunk

Projector beam halogen headlights

LED daytime running lights, fog lights, taillights, and brake lights

17” Alloy wheels

Moon roof

Dual chrome exhaust finishers

You may be asking yourself, do I really need a V6 engine? The answer is yes. While 4-cylinder engines may offer better fuel economy (and that is not always the case), choosing a vehicle with the stronger V6 engine has a few advantages. Not only are they more powerful and offer faster acceleration, they tend to last longer and are better balanced – all resulting in a more pleasurable driving experience.

In the case of this Accord EX-L, the V6 is just the icing on an already full-featured cake. This car is comfortable and quiet to drive, with great visibility and easy-to-see instrument displays. Filled with tech like Honda Link, and safety features like Lane Watch, there’s so much to love about this sedan.

Don’t settle for an underpowered car! Once you go V6, you’ll never go back. Give my friends at Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk a call to check out all their available V6 inventory, then let me know what you think in the comments.
