Blue is the New Green!

Hey there!  My name’s Laura, and today I’m sharing my review of the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid.

The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid has all the characteristics of a traditional Accord—comfortable, luxurious, reliable—but what makes this the car for YOU is its amazing fuel economy.  At 45 mpg highway and 50 mpg city, the 2014 Accord Hybrid doles out a combined 47 mpg, allowing you less visits to the gas station.  You can even control which mode you want to drive in (engine, battery, or both), and see how efficiently you are driving and how the power is distributing to your tires through the gauges on the display screen.

We all know that many hybrids are not known for their looks or power; this hybrid has already been noted for both, so throw away the image of a futuristic space machine, and replace it with a stylish, powerful sedan.  Blue seems to be a theme throughout this car, with blue-tinted headlights, a blue-accented grill, and even a blue car key that allows for keyless entry within 32 inches of the car!

The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid comes equipped with many awesome features, including:

-LED Daytime Lights
-Aerodynamic Deck Lid Spoiler
-Rear Diffuser
-Redesigned 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder Atkinson Combustion Engine
-Engine creates 141 horsepower, 122 ft. lbs. torque
-124 Kilowatt Electric Motor
-Motor generates 166 horsepower, 226 ft. lbs. torque
-Combined 196 horsepower, which is 11 more than the conventional Accord’s 185
-Multi-Mode Drive (MMD)
-Econ Mode
-Bluetooth, iPod, and Pandora Compatibility
-Dual Climate Controls
-Heated Side Mirrors
-360 Watt Sound System with 7 Speakers
-8 in. Multi Info Display Screen
-Backup Camera
-37.5 in. Head Room, 38.5 in. Leg Room in Back of Car
-Seamless CVT Transmission

The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid has many technical features that earn it great reviews, but at the end of the day, what matters most is that you’re receiving the reliability of Honda.  You truly can’t get a feeling of how remarkable this car is until you drive it. Plan a trip to Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk to test drive the new hybrid—I promise you’ll love it!  In the meantime, check out my video review at Roger Williams Park to learn more.
