Honda Fest: Honda Mama hits the Car Show

By 0 Permalink 0

I don’t know about you, but summer Sundays in my house generally follow the same pattern. We go to church, then mosey back home, where I make valiant efforts to motivate myself to get the house in order and feed my family 2 more times before everyone goes back to work or camp the next day. Combined with housecleaning, reading, and getting my kids outside to play, these efforts often necessitate a late afternoon nap.

Recently, I decided to mix things up, and took my son to a HUGE Honda event that immediately upped my coolness factor (no small feat when you’re a mom of a pre-adolescent). I’m talking about Honda Fest presented by Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk, at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.

Yes! I took my son to a car show!

We had an awesome time checking out cars and telling everyone about wehearthonda.com.

We helped Honda Laura give out teddy bears to the little kids…

Be sure to check out Honda Laura’s video series about Honda Fest!

We also saw lots of amazing Hondas and Acuras:

Someone even showed my favorite Honda…a Crosstour!

The weather started out a bit iffy, but turned out beautiful.

By the end of it, my little car enthusiast was trying to convince me to lower my car and get some $2000 wheels to “trick it out, Mom!” I think I’ll hold off on that, but all in all, we had a great day…can’t wait for our next Honda show!
