2017 Honda Civic Hatchback LX – All the Necessities

By 0 Permalink 0

You know how excited I was when I reviewed the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback EX-L Navi model. After waiting over a decade for the return of a hatchback, Honda hit it out of the park for us Honda fans with this release. While the EX-L Navi model was pretty fully loaded, we decided to show you another look at the ‘17 Civic Hatchback, but this time with the LX trim. It may be the base model, but it is still well-equipped and beautiful.

As always, we want to thank Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk for providing us with the Sonic Gray hatchback for this review. I love this color. It’s a mix of battleship gray and blue metallic. Awesome. While the features inside the hatchbacks may vary between the trim lines, they all are rocking this new aggressive and sporty body style that includes sculpted front and rear bumpers, dual deck lid spoilers, and vented grills. With a MSRP of only $20,500 (yes, that’s the correct price!) you get everything listed below. Let’s take a closer look.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned, Honda base models offer so much more than “base” features. Just look back at the 2017 Honda Accord LX we reviewed. That car had chrome, Bluetooth, alloy wheels, LED lights, and an i-VTEC engine. In the BASE model. Many of those features are here in the Civic as well. Honda has mastered giving its customers plenty of bang for the buck.

When it comes to actually driving the Civic Hatchback, this car is peppy! The turbocharged engine provides great acceleration. Combined with the responsive braking and comfortable seats, it makes for an easy and engaging ride. It may also look small, but its flexible storage and cargo options make it extremely versatile. Merging the beautiful, sporty styling of the exterior with the tech necessities on the interior, Honda has given us a super affordable, gorgeous car that cannot be beat.

But don’t just take my word for it. Drop by Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk and take a look at one yourself. My friends there have options in all the Civic trim lines ready for you to test drive. Then comment below about which one you’d want sitting in your driveway.
